I Googled a bit, and all I could find out were very sketchy claims of manifestation by some crazy Russian psychic. It seems rather suspect to me.
She also in a previous session was using the Healy device (I wrote about it here) which also seems pseudoscientific.
I've had issues with her before which I've attempted to speak to her about, but there is never enough time in session. Today it got quite heated as she said "if you're not happy about this, you're not going to be happy about a lot of things" and I was about to fire her there and then.
I've struggled to be polite and respectful of boundaries, realizing that everyone is human. She at least said that she was willing to debrief again tonight and address the issues, and not bother being polite.
I'm leaning towards not working with her anymore. Her use of pseudoscience is sketchy.
I've seen over 30 therapists, she's not the worst I've met, but she's not very good. Her behavior (though I'm not a mindreader) makes me sometimes think she might be projecting somewhat. (I have a psych background myself, I'm trying not to play "who is the better therapist" ego games)
I believe there are clear professional codes of conduct (for both client and therapist) and I have been feeling she's skirting them with all her recommendations and behavior.
