So I am doing an archeoastronomy final project and I have some questions about how accurate equinoctial markers, for example Angkor Wat, remain overtime.
I have read in papers that due to axial precession the suns setting position relative to any given equinoctial marker will change over time, making the marker less and less accurate over the course of millennia.
I have tried over and over to find animations showing this change in the sun's setting location on the equinox to no avail, I only come across how it changes over the course of a year which I am already very familiar with.
Any help would be very appreciated, thanks in advance!
Cheers
