Planning a Stipple Drawing of the Milky Way-Best references for mapping it out as accurately as we know it?

Post Body

I am finishing up a pen and ink stipple drawing of an elf and it made me hungry to do a bigger and more intricate stipple piece.

I did a pen and ink partially stippled collection of pieces in high school of the planets in our solar system that won third place and were all auctioned off and it was so much fun to map out the planets and to draw them as accurately as I could.

I've improved since then and am wanting to do a huge piece where I fully stipple the Milky Way on a bigger canvas and am wanting to see if yall have any resources that's possibly interactive so that I can zoom in and out and map it out in a way that the average and the knowledgeable viewers will appreciate the attention to detail in it.
