While I have a few specific questions, I also have some more open and/or complicated and hypothetical.
Specific:
How do astronomers refer to the amount of space the moon takes up in the sky?
How do astronomers refer to it's variance?
How does the view of the earth from the surface of the moon change during the cycle?
Would it be the same for a moon circling a gas giant?
Hypothetical:
What gravitational changes would we notice if the moon were to rotate the earth at a fraction of its current speed?
How much larger could our moon theoretically be without radically altering life on the planet?
What would a much larger moon look like in the sky?
How would it effect nocturnal visibility?
