I have an orbit smart timer for some soaker hoses and a sprinkler that my mom uses. Works great and I love the tech, however, it slams shut. Having worked over the summers helping at a fire department, I know the danger a water hammer can be to a pipe, and with the sound of it in the pipes when that timer shuts, I’m surprised it hasn’t caused any damage yet.
I’ve been looking for some water hammer arrestors, but my local ace doesn’t have one for a junction, so I was going to get some off Amazon, but you know the QC control on Amazon… was wondering what y’all would suggest, any specific brands, and if there are any more adept to being used outdoors than others.
