Am I being overcharged?

Had a plumber come out and give me a quote for replacing the p trap. They said they have to replace this pipe and the main one because it’s all “old and there’s silicone/caulk which indicates it may have been leaking before.” His quote was over $7k.
- Do I really need to replace all of this to pvc?
- Is that quote reasonable? Seems real high to me.
