Toilet Leak - new floors/new install

Is my flange/wax ring leaking? It was installed (by a plumber) one year ago, on top of new laminate floors (not ideal). Took it out today to redo some things on the wall and it doesn’t look great.
There’s also an occasional musty smell, but I’ve convinced myself it’s something else. Not all the time, but occasionally.
