I recently have been having this random “musty water” smell under my kitchen sink. Removed all cleaning products and odor is still lingering. I do not smell it in the sink drains so not sure it’s the P trap. The dishwasher is directly next to sink and the cubby hole dishwasher sits in has the same slight odor, but when dishwasher is pulled out odor goes away. Once dishwasher is pushed back in odor starts again regardless if machine is used or not. Machine has been used regularly and is only 4 years old. Could it most likely be the drain tube giving off that smell? Or a component under the dishwasher? No leaks under dishwasher or under sink either. We’ve tried, coffee, vinegar, bleach, multiple scent products and nothing can mask or take the odor away, it still lingers. Does not smell inside the tub of dishwasher! It does not smell like a dead animal under cabinet either. Any advice would be helpful.
