Drains, double sink and dishwasher

Hello I have a double sink one is a garbage disposal so here's my situation, when I pour water down the sink it fills up in the sink with the garbage disposal. When I turn on the garbage disposal the water goes to the other sink. There is water not draining also at the bottom of the dishwasher. I tried to check the U pipe and didn't find any major blockage and water does come out from the pipe into a bucket when I do it...any advice to fix my issue?
