Sorry if this is the wrong sub, I have tried pc forums but they weren't much helpful. My pc is 2 months old, 1 month ago my cpu cooler's pump died and replacement came in 2 days ago. I installed it and turned on pc, suddenly a 5 cm long purple line flashed near the motherboard power and home's MCB tripped. I have tried turning on just the motherboard and its lights and case fans turned on, I am scared if it would be safe to put in other parts and test the pc. I could only check a hard disk externally and its working fine.
Since then I found out grounding wire was making contact with neutral wire somewhere in my home and causes shorts and trips mcb especially during rainy (current) season.
I can't see any burn marks or signs of damage anywhere on the pc. There was a 1cm spark (orange) then 5 cm spark (red line) from the same origin on motherboard : https://i.imgur.com/bXn1adl.jpg Also my pc is connected to a power extension board with a fuse and a UPS if that makes any difference. Any help would be appreciated!
