Changing memories (hypothetical question)

Post Body

So hypothetically, if y'all could change your memories, like let's say there's a device that could delve into your brain that could give you memories of the life you wish you had, would you use it? You would still have your old memories, if you prefer. But you would have new ones you could remember too if wanted.

Been thinking about this one for a while. Right now I'm thinking no, even though I wish I could have memories "growing up as a girl". Lots of missed opportunities and all. But if it's just a memory thing, I'm really iffy on it. First off cuz I'd be the only one remembering it and that would kinda be lonely being the only one who could remember this memory. And more importantly, I feel like I'd be sadder after the fact because I would have regrets, mainly centering on me thinking what if things actually went that way. so right now, no haha.

But what about y'all. Curious about your two cents on this hypothetical question of mine.
