Options for thicker hair?
Post Body

Just as a preface, I'm not on HRT yet. I've grown out my hair over the last couple years and it's about mid-shoulder blade length. The only problem is I just don't have that much hair. I have minor hair loss, but even as a kid I've just always had thin hair. If I put it all in a ponytail, it's probably less than inch thick where my hair tie sits.

I think surgical hair options might help with my hairline, but I don't think it will address the fact that I feel like I don't have ENOUGH hair in total.

I'm considering wigs, extensions, etc. but the problem I'm running into is A) I'm a dancer, so I can't have my wig flying off in class or on stage, B) I'm nervous that the more harmful options will just further ruin my natural hair, and C) I tend to sweat a lot from my head/scalp and I'm nervous about hygiene issues with more semi-permanent options like weaves.

Do you have any recommendations for addressing this? Thanks in advance!!
