How easy is it to sublet a studio apartment downtown?
Post Body

Hey everyone. I'm in urgent need of a place to stay starting basically ASAP (long story short, I got screwed by a former friend on subletting; my fault, I should've gotten everything in writing). However, I'm not sure how long I'll be in Toronto. At least a couple of months, but I'm looking at jobs elsewhere and also considering moving home because of my parents' health.

I am finding it extremely hard to find a studio that will do a 2-4 month lease downtown, so I'm thinking about just signing a year-long lease and subletting it later in the summer, if I have to. But I don't know how hard this would be... does anyone know if it's worth the risk? I'd love to do that if I'm sure to find a subletter, but I'm not 100% sure that'll happen.

Thanks!
