Hey everyone. I live in Toronto but my family's in another city in Canada. COVID is getting worse so I'm not so hot on the idea of a long-term trip right now, but my mom is getting really sick (not COVID-related, a different chronic illness -- not looking good) and I would like to go home ASAP to be there for her. Ordinarily if I needed to visit I would take Megabus or Via Rail, but with COVID, both of those options aren't viable or safe.
Are there any cheap places to rent a car in Toronto for a possible long-term (at least two weeks) trip? At least, cheaper than the regular places (Enterprise/Avis/etc.)? I've been looking at those places but I wanted to check for anything cheaper or local, since the going rate for those for even just a week is upwards of $400.
Thanks!
