i need to go to downtown Toronto today, and i have not taken the TTC since march! i'm located near the top of line 1 yonge-uni and would need to take line 1 shuttle bus (no service on parts of line 1 today), switch to subway at st.clair, then switch to line 2 westbound subway and back. as i haven't been on the TTC since the pandemic i was just wondering how crowded it is these days..? the other option would be to take out my bike though i never felt that safe riding my bike down yonge st and into downtown .. but maybe this is a better option all things considered? sounds like a petty question but just wondering.. thanks for reading.
EDIT: Thanks everyone for all your replies! I am neither a 'geriatric 88 yr old' nor a 'young fella', but I decided not to take my bike, and I was happy with this decision. Everyone stay safe out there! :)
I was on the TTC on the line 1 route yesterday (southwards). But just from Lawrence to St. Clair. Its not that bad. Given the heat wave warning, I think that will be the best bet when compared to biking.
