Why is dating so hard in the GTA as compared to Toronto as a 28 year old Finance bro?

Story time for context - So I got on dating apps a couple months back (Hinge to be specific) - I live in oakville, got some matches & the conversation died out as usual lol. I work downtown Toronto & I just changed my location to it once - BOOM got many matches. But then again the conversation usually died out when I mentioned I live in oakville.. is 40 minutes a big commute in terms of dating someone? Or am I missing something Orrr people just don’t wanna leave their houses to date in the winter 😂
