Anyone know a smart way to move bare minimum furniture to NYC?

Moving to NYC next month and thought about selling everything here and buy a bed and desk in NYC. Fully aware purchasing can be very expensive in America, have longer lead times etc. So still looking at possible ways to instead move my essentials like bed, standing desk & chair, bicycle to NYC on a v cheap rate albeit fully realizing I am not handy and would need someoen to help me dismantle the bed/desk here, and then someone else in the States to me set it back up.

Any thoughts? Ideas? Anyone who’s done this previously what did it cost you?
