Pickerel at Nations $2.99/lb??
Post Body

So, being in Ontario, with the great lakes, most people are familiar with Pickerel as very popular fresh water fish for both commercial and recreational fishing... Nations sells large whole fresh Pickerel at $2.99/lbs or $3.49/lbs cleaned - this can easily be found in this week's flyer...

At the best of times, major grocery chains are selling at $10.99/lbs and up. I think commercial fishermen are getting more than $3/lbs wholesale... Anyone know what the story is or where this fish comes from that they are able to sell at such a low price??
