Family doctor & annual examination advice needed.
Post Body

So I’ve been struggling with an issue for 7 months that my family doctor initially misdiagnosed and told me not to worry about, that it will go away on its own. Well, it didn’t. Long story short, I have like three lesions on my vulva that bleed often, become small and then grow back, sometimes they’re super itchy, sometimes they’re painful.

After advocating for myself hard, I got a dermatologist referral and the derm’s office carried out a biopsy the very same appointment.

Needless to say, I am shit scared about the results and I believe my family doctor has been negligent.

Well tomorrow I have my annual exam and I really want to get myself fully examined, get all the possible bloodwork done that could help me get a diagnosis in addition to the biopsy, and I wonder if y’all kind souls have any advice to give to me. I have never had an annual examination done, nor has my family doctor ever advised me to get one. If it helps, I am an immigrant who’s lived in Canada (Toronto) for seven years now, permanent resident from the start. Thanks all!
