The events are almost non-existent, and the people rarely wanna meet, if even discovered at all. The most i see is "gamers" that play fucking facebook games or gatchas. Trying to find people who are play more substancial games has been so difficult. :(

I moved here 3 years ago, and because i didn't know anyone here, it made it impossible to network. Trying to find meets on my own, It's like theres absolutely nothing. Like where can i meet guys at? where can i talk about dark souls, or fire emblem, or the tales of series, or touhou. One would think i can atleast talk about some mainstream passions like FF14 or league, but i always keep finding straight people, or taken gays. As far as i can tell literally all i see is black eagle, and thats IT.

I tried this awful thing https://www.torontogaymers.com/ that when i went to their (as im told will be the last video game event), i was LITERALLY the only person there (other then the host). like, oh my god! I've searched keywords like gay in the gamer toronto reddit, or game in this reddit, to little to no results. even the gaymers reddit only has 10 posts total in the last FIVE YEARS for toronto!

i can't even find friends with benefits, i can't even make gamer friends, BECAUSE THERES NO GAMING EVENTS! I work from home, so i don't have co-workers to network off of. reddit often brings unhinged people, and all the well adjisted people already have their groups and are not looking. People say touch grass, there A'INT no fucking grass. it's all burned to ash from covid, now theres parsec so people can remote play from home and don't even need to find locals. Even the "oh my god this is so overdone" things, like a basic mario party or smash bros & chill event don't exist!

So like, where do i find myself some gay gamers here? Also yes, by here, i mean the grand toronto area, not just toronto itself.

Edit: mods were so unhappy with this post (talking about a very real problem) they gave me a 10 day ban from this subreddit. Maybe part of the fucking problem, is people can't even seriously fucking ask where gay people are without getting a ban. jesus fucking christ.
