Condo living first time - LOUD banging noise last night repeatedly, is this normal during winter?
Post Body

Hi,

So this is my first winter living in a condo. Last night, I heard very loud banging noises from above me (I live on the 8th floor of a 10 floor building). It sounds like someone dropping something really heavy on the floor and it happens once every 20 minutes or so.

It's very alarming, and needless to say I could not get any sleep last night (just the anticipation of the next loud sound is enough to put me on edge, like anticipating the next jump scare of a horror movie). I didn't have earplugs so I just put on my headphones and laid in bed awake listening to music the entire night to drown out the noise.

Just did some googling and this seems like it's a common occurrence in condos during winter?? I already sent an email to property management just to see if they have anything to say about it. I'm hoping this is a one time occurrence otherwise I don't know what I'm going to do
