I've had some struggles with my career. Perhaps as a result of my ADHD, though I don't want to use that as an excuse. I've found that no matter how hard I try I just never seem to be better than 'adequate' at work. And that's after being at the office later than most.
Besides just trying harder than most I've turned to therapy to try to help but that hasn't done the trick either. Which I suppose isn't surprising, what does a therapist know about finance.
This week I was speaking to a new therapist, seen them a few times, and he asked a good question. He was essentially asking who I've reached out to for help with this stuff, and basically hinted that a therapist with no experience in finance might not be able to help with this much. Which has been my experience as well.
Sooo with that said, I'd love to hear others experiences with life or career coaches. Doesn't have to be career specifically, though it helps.
