Hi, 20yr old 2nd year varsity student. I'm doing BA general my modules are Politics, international relations and Media studies. I ended up in this course because I couldn't get in the program I wanted because it was full. Now I feel like it's just a drag, I hardly go to classes because i don't enjoy what I'm doing and my grades also show that. I just feel like it's a course that is not in high demand, and it needs you to do postgrad and emd up in academia or research, which is not foe everyone. I'm even questioning myself if I'll be able to get a job after spending years and getting into debt studying.
I wanted to do Economics and econometrics or Finance, also have Business management at the back of my mind. I'm not too sure if I should go for it now, like drop this degree and start a new one next year, even if it's at a different institution. So I just want to know if commerce based on the (the above mentioned courses) if it's gonna be worth it ??? I'd like to hear your thoughts.
