Is there anyone else who is stressing about his/her varsity registrations or knows someone who is? How are you holding up?
On my side I owe 10k from the 2023 academic year, I'm using NSFAS. I'm a Wits Student, thers this thing called the AOD "Acknowledgement of debt" that we need to sign in order to be able to register. If the application is successful you will register and then pay your outstanding balance in 10 equal monthly installments. Some students are required to pay 50% of their outstanding fees, yooh its so stressful.
It's easy for others that have cash on them, if for instance they owe 12k, they can pay a little to reduce the amount to be less than 10k so they can register, it's tough on those that have nothing cause they have to wait for their AOD application to be approved, while knowing very well it can get declined.
