Need to Cross from Singapore to JB and back National Day long weekend. How screwed am I?

I need to travel to JB from SG on the Thursday at 8pm prior to national day Friday. Then come home Sunday national day weekend. I have a window between 4pm-11pm to come back to SG (I am flexible).
How screwed am I in terms of crowds then? Any tips on making this easier? I do not have any transport booked to and fro yet so open to ideas how I don’t spend eternity in cues.
