Hello, I need input from other adults who have been through similar paths.
I'm 24 this year and I'm planning to enroll in the ITE Part-time course that starts next month (intake in June). I currently have a full-time job from 8 to 5:30 and I would like to try balancing work, gym, and the PT course. However, my dad keeps urging me to take SkillsFuture courses next year once I turn 25 because he doesn't believe that I can cope with ITE, which makes me doubt my own abilities. I'm unsure how to handle this situation and whether I should follow my father's advice.
I've already applied for a course related to my job called FNFP (Finance for Non-Finance Professionals). It's a 3-day course held at SMU, and the certificate will be recognized (please correct me if I'm wrong). I'm wondering if SkillsFuture certificates are recognized for career advancement or if the courses are worth doing instead of pursuing ITE part-time. (The part time course I'm aiming for is Business Services, Nitec) I'm not sure if it'll help me in the long run..
