Update to my prior post...
Found out from a buddy that my wife contacted his wife about her attorney she used in a prior divorce. So I need to decide on an attorney. Over the past 8 months I've had consultations with 4 different attorneys. Feeling them out and receiving the free legal advice that they offer. I have not decided on one of them yet or if I will consult with more.
I started looking at avvo and laywers.com ratings. But then I google if those sites are even trustworthy and found that they are typically not. Out of all my friends only 2 of them have been divorced and that has been over 15 years ago. And they didn't have favorable outcomes (could of been the system, aka father rights, back then or their attorney). I live in a decent size city but am surprised at the lack of online reviews for lawyers in my area. I've never been in a legal situation and needed a lawyer before, so all of this is new to me.
My question is, are there any good online review sites for attorneys that are trustworthy?
