Heart Palpitations... What should I ask for testing wise??
Post Body

So, for the last 2 years I have been experiencing what feels like heart palpitations. It feels like a fluttering sensation in from my neck to my diaphragm. No other symptoms come with it. When I approached my doctor (2 years ago) and told her about it, she had me do an ECG in office that turned up normal, other than a HR in the 90's. Since I have problems with heart burn a lot, she had me try panteprozol to see if it would help them. No such luck.

Over time, I have noticed that they occur with more frequency if I have too much caffeine. And they also occur the most after lunch or a big meal for some reason. They sometimes stop for a couple weeks, and then they come back. Sometimes when they happen my heart rate is in the 120's according to my fit bit. It is normally in the 90's while I work at my desk, and in the upper 70's- lower 80's when I sleep.

On my father's side there is a history of heart problems. My paternal grandfather died of cardiac arrest, as did my great-uncle (his brother). My own dad seems pretty healthy, but does have a benign heart rhythm abnormality.

Should I just write this off as a harmless anxiety thing? I do not have a history of general anxiety disorder, BUT these near daily sensations DO make me worry about my health..

Or, should I push for more testing, or maybe see a cardiologist to make sure everything is okay? What kind of testing should I try for if so? I just want to be sure I don't have any problems, and if I do I want to get on them early.
