I have a question for you: for the second time during surgery or anesthesia, the anesthetist told me afterward that my pulse shot up to 150 right before I fell asleep. Basically, the second the propofol entered my bloodstream, my heart started racing (I could hear the monitor beeping faster, and then I was out).
The anesthetist during my last surgery said she usually only sees this in infants and recommended that I see a cardiologist to get it checked out. Iโm inclined to blame it on my anxiety disorder โ during panic attacks, my heart rate also increases.
Do you have any idea what else it could be?
Best regards.
