I approached an older woman in a gym class. This was the conversation exactly how it went.
Me: "How are you?"
"Good."
"What's your name?"
"(Says name)".
"I am (name)".
"Are you leaving? Or why are you?"
(No response)
"Have you been coming?"
"Yes."
"I didn't come for four days. I'm always late."
"I haven't seen you in four days."
"I'm always late."
(No response)
"I'm always late."
(No response)
She didn't respond at first, but when she finally relented, I walked away. She didn't ask for my name or ask me how I am. What did she mean by "Are you leaving or why are you?"
