Does anyone know if there is a term for when you substitute a word for a different that doesn't make sense unless you know it's origin.
Post Body

Eg. I heard someone say once "you want me to look at your photo album, I'm going to go through it like I'm petting a large dog" I've since started calling "feigning interest", "tall dog it" or "tall doggin it".

Or In green Street hooligans, "bees and honey" for "money"

I've always wondered what the term is for substituting words like that is. There had to be a word. Tia
