I grew up as a highly extroverted child, easily engaging in conversations and seen as outgoing by friends. By my junior/senior year of high school (2020-22), my demeanor became calmer.
Now in college at 20, I identify as an ambivert and a listener. I prefer smaller groups, gauge friendships cautiously, and listen more than speak initially. I connect more easily with those whose energy aligns with mine.
I've become more laid back, enjoying solitude and meaningful interactions. I wonder if this shift is due to maturing or other factors.
