What is it called when you present a serious topic in a lighthearted manner to help deflect any possible accusations of delusion, paranoia or insanity?
Post Body

If you believe something to be true but in case someone tries to accuse you of being insane or delusional, you can simply say that you were only kidding, it wasn't meant to be taken seriously.

For example:

You believe in extraterrestrial beings and them coming to earth in UFOs. You then decide to make a joke about UFOs in a lighthearted manner.
