Lately I have been seeing more and more cyclists lock their bikes parallel to bike racks instead of tangently causing them to occupy an entire half of a small 3-5 rack or a quarter of large racks that lock up to 10 or more. Since when has this become the norm? You can still lock up your frame and back wheel to the rack if you need to lock up the frame (single U locks and definitely chains can do this)and not just the wheel's rim.
Tl:Dr tired of cyclists quadruple parking and wondering when and why this tend started.
