Apologies if not allowed! In light of recent events, I’ve really been thinking about my experience of growing up Asian-American, and I summed it up in a video format here. I’ve had somewhat of a unique experience as I’ve moved around quite a bit growing up, between extremely diverse areas and extremely white dominated areas, and it’s really got me thinking about how growing up in the midst of microaggressions and subtle discrimination can shape you in ways that you don’t realize until much later. Anyways, my thoughts have been a jumbled mess and I thought it would be nice to share them in a somewhat coherent form to anyone who might be interested in hearing the noise in my head lol. Thanks for reading and I hope you all are staying safe - sending all my love.
Thanks for watching! I'm glad it was able to resonate with you somehow, sorry that you've had to go through similar experiences :(
