I'm considering making the switch to Direct Primary Care. I'm 3-decades-tired of feeling like I fall through the cracks at regular doctor's because I have a complex medical history and multiple chronic issues, while they have limited time and too many patients.
Would love to work with a practioner who looks for the 'bigger picture' in a patient's health and can make referrals to specialists when necessary. It's be nice to work with someone who actually feels like a partner in my health, rather than a script writer. Is it asking too much? I hope not.
I think I've pretty much narrowed it down to Ashewell and Integrative Family. I'd love to hear recommendations/experiences/etc from folks who have been to one and/or the other. Or, maybe there's another comparably priced DPC person/place you want to put on my radar?
Thanks, Asheville!
