I used to work at the mall. Mall security is practically nonexistent due to the way they schedule their rounds. Fights like this were almost a weekly occurrence during my 2 years there. I've seen one store manager in particular chase suspected thieves across the mall just to get his merchandise back. You ask security to help and the response was always " if we didn't see it happen, we can't do anything and we don't provide security for the inside of stores." Literally when i left, the policy was to observe and report. So as far as i'm concerned the guy was in the right for protecting his family. Especially after seeing the longer video, it clearly shows his wife and kid being backed into a corner with little to no means of escape. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=2323662727704441&id=100001822101671
