Hello r/Asheville! There have been several posts recently looking for housing and jobs, so your friendly mods would like to clarify where things should be posted:

• ALL housing posts should go to r/AshevilleClassifieds or r/AshevilleHousing

• ALL “For Sale” and “ISO” posts should go to r/AshevilleClassifieds.

• If you are looking for a job, please post in r/AshevilleClassifieds.

• If you are posting a job opportunity, you are welcome to post in the main sub, r/Asheville

With that in mind, we kindly ask that if you are subscribed to r/Asheville, to please also subscribe to these subreddits so that they can be effective and helpful to more people, while keeping the main sub free of clutter.

Additionally, there have been a few fundraising and crowdfunding posts and requests recently. Whereas the previous system was for moderators to review and approve any crowdfunding posts, we have decided to begin allowing these on the sub as long as they are clearly related to Asheville. Lastly, we plan to try out a weekly thread titled something like, “What’s going on this weekend?” where people can share events that are happening soon and can potentially meet others with similar interests. We are open to other regular threads that you think may be helpful, as well.
