I just got an Australian shepherd whose 9 weeks old. I live in Klondyke apartments and for the past three days in a row, an unleashed pit bull from three different homes/owners has come up and launched at the dog. One owners luckily was able to verbally recall the dog, the 2nd one had to be funded off with a neighbors broom and intervention, and the 3rd time I had a large walking stick to fend off an unleashed pit bull that wasn't under its owners voice commands. She got extremely offended I was shielding (not hitting anyone) my dog with the stick. However he was launching at my puppy and wasn't listening to her?
What do I do? I don't want to complain for fear of retaliation in this kinda dangerous neighborhood, but I also need to let my dog out for potty breaks and walks.
He's only 16lbs, 9 weeks of age.
