I'm in a pickle and don't quite know what else to do here or if anyone else is experiencing something similar or has any answers/suggestions for me.
Some time ago, I sent in my information for my Medicaid renewal. My caseworker reached back out to me to let me know she got everything and to ask a follow-up question, which I answered. Recently, I received a letter in the mail that my Medicaid was going to be terminated on 11/30 due to a lack of sufficient documentation, and that I needed to reach out to my caseworker to give the info requested.
I've done that. I've emailed her multiple times and DSS's generalized email address multiple times over the last few days. I've called, left messages, nothing. No one is responding to me. I don't have time the next few days to go in person as I work full-days, pretty much entirely during the times they're open Tues-Fri.
I'm trying to not panic, but the enrollment period for insurance through my job if Medicaid decides to deny my renewal is through the 22nd. I don't want to sign up if I can get something more affordable through Medicaid (I am low-income, disabled and "medically needy" but working so I make more than the standard income limit but still need assistance due to how much is needed for my medical care) but I can't afford normal insurance. I'm on a bit of a time crunch and no one is hearing me.
What can I do? Is there a reason for this delay? I'm about to lose my mind here.
