Got sent this from a company I freelance for in the event industry. It covers people that make 50% or more in the event industry but requires the venue owners or managers to apply and then invite their workers, so didn’t apply to me since I don’t have a local venue employer. Thought I’d put this out here though, so info can be shared.

“Crew Nation was established in 2020 to support live music crew members affected by the pandemic who were facing loss of work and unable to meet their basic living expenses. In light of the destruction brought by Hurricanes Helene and Milton, we are reaching out to you with financial assistance for your live music crew members who have suffered hurricane damage to their home or primary vehicle or suffered loss of income due to cancellations of shows or damage to a venue.

To be eligible for a grant of up to $1000, your crew members must meet these criteria:
Lost income due to live music concerts being cancelled in the hurricane zone or
Lost income due to damage or destruction of the venue or
Suffered hurricane damage or destruction to home or primary vehicle. Crew members:
Must make 50% or more of their income as a live music concert crew member.
Been employed in this industry for five or more years.

Please note: Musicians, singers, dancers and other performers are not eligible. For your employees to be eligible your company/venue's business must serve (50% or more) the live music industry. Ticket agencies, marketing or publicity agencies, and companies that serve private parties, corporate events and conferences or similar businesses are ineligible to submit their employees.

Application Process: To facilitate the application process, please complete the form at the link and provide employee name, email address and job title. Please let your employee know that they will receive an invitation to apply via an email from [email protected].

Verification
If your venue had to cancel shows, please indicate that in your submission and indicate how long your venue is closed.
If your crew member has damage to property, they will be required to provide a copy of their insurance claim or FEMA application.
