Why are there so many women living in their cars here?

I would expect the ratio to be 95% men and 5% women. My personal observation is more like 75% women.
There are so many homeless women in cars here. I wonder why.
Edit- I think some people are assuming I am criticizing them. I’m not. I feel for them. I am homeless also. That’s why I see them so much.
