Duke says they don’t service my apartment when they do?
Post Body

When we were moving into our apartment mid January they said we would need to have Duke and dominion set up service by move in day. We were already using both of these at our prior apartment so figured it wouldn’t be hard to transfer. My roommate and the apartment manager made it seem like we were all set and didn’t ask anything more about it. Fast forward to end of March when I ask how much the bill for Duke was going to be this month out of curiosity (they handle the utilities). They told me that we aren’t actually paying for Duke because they said they don’t service here, my roommate even called 3-4 times to confirm since moving in. We’ve only been paying for dominion. My question is, what should I do at this point? My apartment complex hasn’t complained about it and we don’t have a bill from Duke. Do I bother pushing Duke more or just leave it? My only worry is somehow it’ll catch up to us and we’ll owe a lot and late fees. I appreciate your kind guidance.
