I'm not asexual, in fact I l am fairly certain I might be hypersexual, I dont profess to really understand this sexuality (why I'm here).
I recently became friends with an asexual woman. Shes very attractive, but I've avoided bringing it up, not wanting to make her uncomfortable, even though she does wear makeup frequently. Though I did bring it up once by accident and she said that she does like being assured she is attractive, so it got me thinking if taking care of or caring about your appearance is a normal thing for asexuals, or if it's something that is not very common.
I figured this was the best place to get answers, since I want to understand her better so I can be a better friend and not make any missteps.
EDIT: I guess I should reiterate my question, as someone who does not associate any act with sex, hownwoukd you describe being complimented on your appearance feels? Keep in mind this is coming from someone who cant help but think of everything as having sexual over or undertones, whether I really want to or not.
