Why is ASDA so protective of the plastic bags?

Post Body

At my local Asda store the staff are guarding the plastic bags as though they are expensive items waiting to be stolen. They even scan the bags at self serve as though they don’t trust us to do it ourselves.

They’ve also rigged the baskets with those alarms they usually put on clothes.

What’s happening?!
