I was inspired to write this by a comment made by Aleglad in another post.
No one should ever hesitate to voice their opinion and ideas in conversations about our religion. We are not a people of priests, we are a people of wisdom. We are not a people of dogma, we are a people of flexibility. Our Lore is shaped by the people as it shapes the people who follow it.
Wisdom does not come just from wise men. It comes from the world. Wise men do not create the wisdom, they just collect it. It comes from all around, and from the mouths of all the people.
In thy home be joyous and generous to guests discreet shalt thou be in thy bearing, mindful and talkative, wouldst thou gain wisdom, oft making me mention of good. He is "Simpleton" named who has nought to say, for such is the fashion of fools.
By the words of Odin, we must all both listen and speak. By our contention we come to agreement, and therefore wisdom, or we part as friends who disagree and in that are also made wiser. So listen to what is said and speak your mind on it, that we ALL might become better men.
