Yes, I'm well aware of rule-based AI systems' shortcomings for a completely encompassing AI solution; I'm neither a complete "neat" nor a complete "scruffy." What I want to know is if there have been any modern attempts at translating system perception to tangible procedural and declarative data; IE, what algorithms have been created to create classic, complete, "IF-THEN" rules without human intervention? My understanding is that SOAR can do this to a limited degree with its chunking mechanism; So can older systems like the Schema mechanism. What else is there? PBTRB.
