need help finding a tool on Krita

there's a tool I see often used in digital art for shading and such but I don't know what it's called so I can't search for it, it's something that allows you to set areas in which your brush will work but not go outside. for example I often see it used in hair where they can take large swipes across the head and the shading stays within the borders of the hair without covering the face. if anyone could let me know where to find this tool and maybe how it works that would be a great help.
