Hey fellow artists, I am currently working on an acrylic painting series that involves gold leaf accents throughout the painting. My audience has loved these so far and many have requested prints. I know many artists that have gold leaf in their originals will also hand gold leaf all of their prints too. However, I donβt have the money up front to do this for all my prints. Im thinking about selling prints without gold leafing them, but the only issue is the gold in the photo shimmers in some spots, and is dark in other spots and im not sure how this would look for the prints if i decided to leave them as is. Should I leave them without the added gold or not sell the gold leaf series as prints at all? Any advice is greatly appreciated!!
