I've had an IG account for years without issues (pro, 18k) and this morning I was welcomed by a notification of suspicious activity saying my account was compromised for having shared my password "with a service to get more likes or followers" - which I haven't.
i used the "report a problem" form as I couldn't find better...
In the meantime, I have changed PW and recovered my account but I can't do things such a like posts ( i get "something went wrong" on my pc and "try again later - we restrict certain activity to protect our community" on mobile).
When checking account status, it says everything is fine, no restrictions (so i don't get the dispute/review option).
Has anyone here encountered a similar situation? What can I do to dispute the suspicious activity and restriction??
I posted on r/instagram but the mods removed my post (not sure why as it doesnt seem to violate the subs rules)
Thanks
